How does satisfaction and happiness impact your decision-making?
How do you define information, understanding, and knowledge? How does a constant stream of data affect your decision-making?
Learn how to use logic for critical thinking skill-building
Workshop topics:
Satisfaction and Happiness
What is the difference between satisfaction and happiness, what are the similarities? How can these differences unknowingly affect your decision-making?
In this 2 hour workshop we will look at values and how they show up in different areas of our lives. From there we will start to define our values and how we include them in our decision-making. Then we will look at how they lead to satisfaction and/or happiness. Practice with examples will help using logical frameworks where fallacies are identified and why this can be problematic.
The goal of this workshop is to have more clarity of how you differentiate satisfaction and happiness, and how this can help with making choices aligned to your values. 2 hours.

Slow Thinking
The modern world swirls around us, demanding - quick, now, respond. It can be unnerving if it is not your nature. Thinking occurs in the background meaning that while we are doing other things the brain is still working and then the 'sudden' flash of inspiration - a new insight or perspective.
This 2 hour workshop begins with looking at ideas about the pace of information. You will explore the differences between information, knowledge, and understanding. From there questions are chosen, written down, and put away. The purpose is to return at set dates to see if there are new insights and analysing the problem again.
The workshop itself is not enough time to come to a solution to the problem. It is set up to explore the ideas above, and learn critical thinking skills to ask yourself about your own attachment to a quick response and what type of thinking you prefer. 2 hours.

Mind Your Ps and Qs
This is a workshop in two 1- hour parts. They can be taken independently, although consecutively is recommended. The first will provide exposure to logic, reasoning, and what makes an argument valid. Common fallacies (invalid ways of thinking) will be explored with practice looking for them and then how to correct each specific one. Learning outcomes include improved critical thinking skills and an increased understanding of how valid arguments are constructed. 1 hour.
The second part will be focused on fallacies and one's own way of thinking that results in unsound outcomes. What changes can be made in order to have sound and valid outcomes? Learning outcomes include how to as oneself questions in order to proactively make active and valid choices in different situations. 1 hour.
